"The Blossom Lake"

The story begins with King Utonium (Professor Utonium) pacing impatiently.  Then, his child is born.  And his daughter is named Princess Blossom (Blossom).  Several Kings, Queens and their consorts arrive in her chamber to offer their gifts to the young girl, especially Queen Foster (Madame Foster) and her heir, Prince Ian (Ian Isberto).  Unbeknowest to all was a cold plan of the evil enchanter, Aku the Spell-Weaver (Aku).  Since Blossom's arrival was no concern to him for the Spell-Weaver was preparing to steal Utonium's huge kingdom using the Forbidden Arts.  However, Aku was caught, and his strengths were plunged into twilight.  Several guards want him dead, but King Utonium decides to kick him out of the kingdom.  However, the Spell-Weaver promises to take everything the king owns and loves before he leaves, by saying "I'm not finished with you yet, Utonium.  Someday, I'll get my power back.  When I do, everything you own: everything you love...will be MINE!"

King Utonium and Queen Foster conspire to matchmake their two offspring in the hopes of bringing their kingdoms together.  As children and adolescents, Ian and Blossom hate each other to the core, but when they meet as young adults, they see each other in a different light and fall in love.  When Ian announces to arrange the wedding, Blossom stalls.  She asks Ian what else he sees in her besides her beauty, to which Ian responds: "What else is there?"  Blossom is disappointed and the wedding is called off.

Blossom and Utonium leave Foster's castle, but during their journey home they are attacked by Aku.  King Utonium's Captain manages to make it to Foster's castle, telling Ian they were attacked by a "Great Demon".  When Ian rides out to the site of the attack, he only finds King Utonium, who says "It's not what it seems," before dying.  The people of the kingdom believe that Blossom is dead, except Ian, who vows to find her.  To this end, he constantly practices his archery skills with his friend, Jordan (Joe Foster).

In truth, Aku has cast a spell on Blossom, keeping her captive at a lake in the woods.  Although she is technically free to leave the grounds whenever she likes, as soon as moonlight leaves the lake, no matter where she is.  Blossom has to be on the lake itself, and moonlight has to touch her hands.  Aku explains that he wants to legally take over Utonium's kingdom by marrying Blossom.  Every night, Aku asks for her hand in marriage, and every night she says "I'll die first."  While staying at the lake, Blossom befriends three boys: Krillin, Victor (Cyborg), and Dexter.  Blossom believes that Ian is looking for her, just as Ian believes that he will one day find her.

Working together with her friends, Blossom manages to lure Ian to the lake, where she is in front of him.  She explains that the spell can only be broken by a "vow of everlasting love", which Ian must "prove to the world".  Ian asks Blossom to attend the ball that is being held at his castle the following night, so that he may make the vow in front of all the guests.  After Ian leaves, Aku arrives and reveals that he has heard their entire plan, but that the ball falls on the night of a new moon, meaning she will still remain on that night.  He magically transforms his sidekick, the Hag, into a replica of Blossom, so that she may attend the ball in Blossom's stead, explaining that if Ian makes the vow to another, Blossom will die.  Aku locks Blossom in the watery dungeon of his castle.

At the ball, numerous princesses are introduced to Ian.  Blossom manages to escape the dungeon, but arrives at the ball too late in time to witness Ian making his vow to the Hag.  When Ian realizes his mistake after Aku arrives at the ball, he follows the dying Blossom back to the lake.  Aku arrives back at the castle and transforms into the Great Demon.  A fight ensues between him and Ian, and has ended when Ian aim an arrow into the Great Demon's heart.  Blossom recovers from the spell when Ian tells her that he loves her for reasons beyond her beauty.  The pair are married in a royal wedding, with the entire kingdom rejoicing.
